Executive Chef, AMK Group
At the age of 18, Angelina Bastidas enrolled at the Le Cordon Bleu and graduated with an A.O.S. in Culinary Arts. Post graduation, Chef Bastidas worked at Wish Restaurant on Miami Beach. She then went on to work in notable kitchens in Miami such as Area 31, The Bazaar, Palm D’or, Tongue and Cheek and Piripi. Most recently, she was the the Chef de Cuisine at The Gwen Hotel in Chicago. Chef Bastidas has quickly made a name for herself in the culinary world and was honored as a Zagat’s 30 Under 30 (Miami) in 2014. In 2015, she became the youngest contestant in Top Chef history and went on to become a favorite during her season (Season 13). Currently, Chef Bastidas is the Executive Chef for AMK Group, which owns and operates AMK and Nosh & Booze in Chicago. In this role, her first project will be bringing her own spin to the AMK Kitchen's menu, as well as becoming the group’s leading culinary voice in future projects. Her love of modern American fare with a twist will be seen in her new AMK menu, which is set to debut November 2016.
