By Aaron Adams
An ongoing series in which an NRA Show writer asks celebrity chefs for hugs to see what happens.
Fact: Aarón Sánchez is cool like the other side of the pillow, (if anyone says otherwise I’ll fight you hard) and it’s no secret that he’s a favorite of the ladies.
But he’s so cool about being cool that the guys are putty in his hands too. Confident, approachable, philosophical—you just want to hang out with this guy, have beers, loan him a dollar—something. Of course I asked for a hug.
But before I could finish he brought it in…
This is where I learned that in the same way getting punched with a boxing glove covered in blingy rhinestones is a little less humiliating—getting a hug from arms covered in sweet tattoos is a little extra awesome.
And Aarón Sánchez is ALL inked up—adding an entirely new sensory dimension to his hug experience, because as the huggee, you know said hug was delivered by a very cool arm.
But here’s the kicker, during- and post-hug Aarón Sánchez throws in “Thank you papi. They make me strong, brotha.”
No Aarón Sánchez. Thank you.
